Thanks for stopping by 13panels.com!
I have already declared my candidacy for International Nominating Committee for 2010. I’ll be running from-the-floor, once again, for the fourth consecutive year in a row.
You might be thinking to yourself, “Leo, why do you even bother, you have done nothing but prove that without the current leadership’s full fledged support, you simply can’t win from the floor.” You might be right, but here’s something else that we all know…
WBCCI leadership has for 29 out of the last 30 years produced annual membership loss reports.
WBCCI leadership for the last 2 years has produced annual operational financial losses.
WBCCI leadership for the last 2 years produced annual International Rally losses.
In 2009 alone losses were posted to the tune of $146,000.00.
In 2010 WBCCI leadership has already approved and is on track to lose $71,000.00 in their operations alone. It is undetermined how much, if any, the International Rally could lose in 2010.
ALL of these losses were produced by leaders chosen to lead by failed leaders themselves. Our bylaws and the ‘established customs’ created by years worth of failed leadership simply perpetuate failure. I run to give members a choice. There is no shame in losing. In fact the membership lets me off easy, year after year by not electing me to office. You could have saved this club $2,000.00 this year, simply by getting me elected. I campaigned on ZERO reimbursements promise, and I’m doing it again. Is the slate so good that saving the club $2,000.00 alone isn’t worth giving somebody else a shot at this?
I’ll have the new 2010 campaign sheet ready shortly. First I need to wrap up this survey (closing at 6PM EST on Jan 18th) and SaveWally’s 2010 WBCCI Unit Guide (http://wbcci.SaveWally.org), and then we’ll get right back to campaigning!
Stay tuned!
